Job Description:

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all duties on the wind farm, providing leadership and technical direction while maintaining an excellent customer relationship.

This managerial position involves managing site operations, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Directing all wind farm operations at the site for maintenance and repair, focusing on customer relations, performance, and profitability is essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the performance of the site team within the assigned contractual scope to the customer.
  • Recognize occurrences of wind turbine error codes and report problems to engineer colleagues.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for timely financial reporting, maintenance/repair, and availability of turbines.

Additional Tasks:

  • Develop site personnel/subordinates and ensure high capture rates on out-of-scope service opportunities.
  • Work with engineering to develop strategies for improved maintenance, diagnostics, and operation to provide additional customer value and reduce costs.
  • Oversee and take ownership of project financial performance (P&L).
  • Write/complete routine reports, correspondence, relevant paperwork, including service orders, checklists, and AWPs.
  • Serve as direct line manager for all site personnel.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree is a bonus.
  • 3+ years' experience in the wind industry with 2+ years of managerial experience.
  • Valid driving license (NON CDL/CDL).
  • Advanced MS Office skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, given proper instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Employee must be capable of lifting/moving up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
