Job Description
We are conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Carpenter. As a key member of our team, you will work on various projects, including residential, commercial and industrial constructions.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to understand and all material and construction requirements
- Determine all materials needed for each job
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Cut and shape building materials (e.g. fiberglass and steel) according to measurements
- Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or preconstructed items
- Lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures
- Assemble and fasten various materials to erect framework
- Install structures and fixtures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualification
- At least 2 years work experience
- Able to cope with the physical demands of the job
- Able to work with your hands
- Good sense of balance and ability to work at heights
- Good at mathematics
- Good health and eyesight
- Able to work as part of a team
- Good decision making and problem solving skills
Salary Range:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
