Job Title: Cyber Security Academic Expertise

About the Role:

This position involves leading innovative research and publishing in top-tier academic venues. It requires securing independent funding and collaborating with industry and interdisciplinary teams across the university.

  • Teach subjects to a high standard, delivering an excellent learning experience for students in undergraduate and postgraduate programs as directed by the relevant department head or deputy head;
  • Conduct lectures and tutorials at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including engagement in teaching innovation and improvement;
  • Develop and innovate high-quality subject materials and delivery, incorporating web resources where appropriate;
  • Prepare project work to support student learning;
  • Conduct scholarly research of the highest quality in the discipline of Cyber Security;
  • Foster partnerships with industry, government, and other collaborators.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative and adaptable researcher with a strong track record in Cyber Security, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with academic, industry, and international stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as Cyber Security or Computer Science;
  • Strong research background and experience in teaching and academic administration;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds;
  • Ability to secure independent funding for research projects;
  • Experience in developing and delivering high-quality educational materials and resources.
