We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Education Support Trainee at a primary school in Moonee Ponds.
In this role, you will work closely with students and teachers to provide care, help and support in the classroom. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting teachers with planning student routines and activities
- Providing individual support to students to enhance their understanding of tasks
- Addressing immediate behavioural needs of students in a calm and professional manner
- Supervising small groups of students in a safe and supportive environment
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- The capacity to provide physical and emotional support to students
- A willingness to complete a Cert III in Education Support
