Steel Stud Framer Job Summary

The role of a Steel Stud Framer involves working with metal studs to construct interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and partitions.

This includes reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Responsibilities include instructing apprentices, supervising other workers, maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

Additional tasks include installing exterior and interior steel studs, door, window, and other hardware, fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids, and placing panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.

Key physical demands of the job include bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working at heights.

High levels of reliability, team player skills, efficiency, and the ability to work independently are required for success in this role.
