About the Role

We are looking for individuals who possess a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences and a love for beautiful homewares and all things Christmas. As a Festive Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering seamless point-of-sale services that are engaging and efficient. Your high positive energy, confidence, and can-do approach will enable you to jump in wherever needed, ensuring our stores remain vibrant and visually appealing throughout the festive period.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, showcasing a genuine enthusiasm for our products and a willingness to go above and beyond to meet customers' needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a fast-paced, dynamic environment, always striving to exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Contribute to visual merchandising efforts, ensuring our stores look their absolute best at all times, with attention to detail and a flair for creative display.
  • Operate Point of Sale systems efficiently and accurately, handling cash transactions, processing returns and exchanges, and maintaining a thorough understanding of store policies and procedures.
  • Aid in stock management, including unpacking and replenishing stock as required, ensuring optimal product availability and minimizing waste.

Requirements

  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, during the peak trading period (14 December 2024 to 5 January 2025).
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
  • Previous retail experience is advantageous, but not essential; we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Availability to commit to working during peak trading times, including evenings and Boxing Day, will be viewed favorably.

Estimated Salary: $25-$35 per hour
