Job Opportunity: Strategic Procurement Specialist

This role offers the chance to oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, providing best practice procurement solutions, and promoting continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Qualifications and experience required include knowledge of relevant acts and legislation, a high level of understanding of OH&S and contract law, and strong influencing and negotiation skills.

A strategic thinker able to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment is sought for this key position.

Position Requirements:

  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand, problem solve and provide best practice procurement solutions and ongoing contract management advice and support.
  • Drive and promote continuous improvement and innovation in procurement and contract management processes.
  • Ensure effective tendering and contract management methodology is in place and fully utilised across the organisation.
  • Maintain best practice policies and operating procedures for the public tendering, quotations and ongoing contract management of works, goods and services.
  • Actively seek opportunities to work towards shared service collaboration.
  • Assist the Team Leader Procurement Operations with other procurement-related functions, as directed.
  • Determine contractor compliance with regards to OH&S, WorkCover and GST.
