Paediatric Oncology Specialist

The role of a senior medical officer is a high-level specialist position providing paediatric oncology services in a tertiary setting. Key responsibilities include managing malignant haematological conditions and providing care for patients undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplant.
The successful candidate will provide professional leadership and supervision to junior staff within the area of speciality, participate in performance appraisal and staff development processes, act as a member of a multidisciplinary team, undertake clinical responsibilities including on-call duty and maintaining patient records.

- Promote family-centred-care principles and practices in service delivery.
- Engage with consumers in the design and evaluation of healthcare services.
