Electrical Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise in electrical and instrumentation design.

  • This role will involve leading the design of electrical systems, including single-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, cable block diagrams, termination diagrams, loop diagrams, hookup diagrams, equipment BOMs, and panel arrangements.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for site inspections to gather data and verify existing drawings, as well as maintaining AutoCAD infrastructure and design tool procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant electrical trade background, with significant experience in CAD software such as AutoCAD (Advanced to Expert level) and/or MicroStation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and development of electrical systems

  3. Maintenance of AutoCAD infrastructure and design tool procedures
  4. Training and auditing
  5. Team collaboration and communication
  6. Standards compliance
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Relevant industry experience or electrical trade background
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD (Advanced to Expert level) and/or MicroStation
  • Experience in 3D modeling software
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy and mathematical skills
