Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

This role is pivotal in driving data strategy and quality, timely commercial insights to support business growth.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years' experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on data analytics and business performance.

Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Commerce, Finance, or related disciplines are essential. Postgraduate education in data science or programming is highly regarded.

The successful candidate will lead data governance initiatives, develop reporting and insights to drive performance and risk decisions, and identify opportunities through data analysis and emerging tools like AI.

Excellent understanding of data architecture and lineage, knowledge of business banking processes, and credit risk data and regulatory reporting are a plus. The ideal candidate will also have proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working in agile environments and delivering reporting solutions that drive commercial outcomes is highly desirable.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Commerce, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with data analytics, reporting and visualisation tools.
  • Excellent understanding of data architecture and lineage, knowledge of business banking processes, and credit risk data and regulatory reporting.
