Job Summary

The role of HSQE Advisor is crucial in supporting and advising the Operations team and broader business in managing HSQE risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements, client expectations, accreditations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the HSQE Management System (IMS) on site, ensuring ISO certifications are upheld.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with HSQE policies.
  • Facilitate accident/incident investigations, maintaining records and statistics.
  • Coordinate and conduct induction and HSQE training programs for staff.
  • Identify and assess potential hazards and risks.
  • Develop controls to resolve HSQE hazards/risks/issues in the workplace.
  • Monitor legal and industry trends, ensuring compliance and developing site emergency response plans.
  • Monitor HSQE performance and statistics, discussing areas for improvement with management.
  • Provide guidance and training on HSQE best practices, regulations, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety.
  • Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety (desirable).
  • Other desirable qualifications include Lead Auditor, Training & Assessment, Risk Management, Incident Investigation (ICAM), Cert IV Training & Assessment, Food Safety, Drug & Alcohol Testing, Fire Safety.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of initiatives or improvements with frontline workforce.
  • Understanding of Quality ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and Environment 14001 (advantageous).
  • Experience in workforce accommodation or similar industry (desirable).
