Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Strategy Analyst to join our team of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing corporate strategy, strategic priorities, and supporting effective decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders.

Melbourne Airport is a world-class transport hub and gateway to Victoria, serving as the primary gateway to Melbourne and the broader state of Victoria. We are in an exciting growth phase, delivering transformative projects and sustained passenger growth.

As a Strategy Analyst, you will:

  • Be regarded as a go-to problem solver, able to deliver strategic insights and support effective decision-making
  • Act as a commercial advisor across business units, developing a common understanding on the 'why' and 'how' of business priorities
  • Support projects which inform strategic decisions at both an enterprise and Business Unit level, including applying structured problem-solving approaches, undertaking high-quality research and analysis, designing and building advanced Excel models, developing storyboards and presentations, effectively communicating conclusions to stakeholders, working with strategy team members, business subject matter experts, and external consultants, supporting the annual corporate planning process, and interacting with a broad range of Airport stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a strategy / management consulting environment and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role for a large corporate organisation
  • High-level ability with data analysis, interrogation, and visualisation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to present findings in an accurate, compelling, and succinct manner
  • Disciplined and well-developed project management skills
  • Industry sector experience in aviation, commercial property, retail, capital-intensive businesses
