Education Placement Coordinator

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Education Placement Coordinator to join our Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support for WIL activities within the School of Education, developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture effective partnerships with schools, early learning centres, and government agencies to create WIL opportunities for Education students.
- Offer ongoing support and guidance to students, workplace supervisors, and academic staff to ensure the successful continuation of existing work placement programs.
- Prepare and update documentation and materials related to placements, serving as a central point of contact for all stakeholders regarding WIL governance and compliance queries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for student placements, agreements, and mentors in SONIA, our placement management system.
- Tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience within the Education sector, preferably coordinating placements or student experience programs.
- Proven ability to use excellent communication and customer service skills to maintain successful partnerships with multiple stakeholder groups.
- High level of interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrated organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong sense of proactivity and responsibility, being able to take initiative and problem-solve when required.
- Advanced critical thinking and decision-making skills, with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- High computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Desirable – experience with placement management programs and/or CRMs.
- Commitment to equity and social justice principles.
