Workshop Technician Opportunity at KION Group

Linde Material Handling, a leading participant in the Material Handling industry in Australia since 1971 and part of the global KION Group, is seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join their team.

About the Role

As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert repairs, service, and maintenance of Linde equipment within the workshop. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team and have the opportunity to build a career with a well-respected company, gaining experience working on some of the world's premier forklift trucks.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Maintaining and caring for tools
  • Assisting in repairs of units in the workshop
  • Supporting other workshop technicians as required
  • Servicing and repairing various sizes and models of forklifts
  • Basic PM service on Linde trucks, excluding VNA and HET
  • Non-specialized mechanical repairs
  • Mast roller and hose replacement
  • Wheel bearing service and replacement
  • Alternator and starter replacement
  • Hydraulic and coolant hose replacement
  • Diagnosing and replacing power and control fuses
  • Drive and load wheel replacement

To succeed in this role, you will have a mechanical background, ideally with experience working on forklifts, heavy equipment, or automotive. A positive attitude to work, a willingness to go the extra mile, and a commitment to becoming a valuable member of the Linde team are essential.
