About the Role

This 14-month contract position is based at our Service & Repair (S&R) depot in Huntingwood, where you'll provide technical support in areas such as operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or post-market development. You'll work closely with service manuals, work instructions, and defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-house servicing on a wide variety of medical devices at the S&R Workshop, adhering to AS/NZ 3551:2012 standards.
  • Conduct maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired medical devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with loan return testing and service loan supply management.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, software, and systems failures using established procedures.
  • Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues.
  • Communicate with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair, and may include direct client communication.
  • Perform new product testing as part of the Australian Pre-delivery inspection process.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in MedTech or a similar service-related industry.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of systems, techniques, and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of AS/NZ 3551:2012 and ISO 13485:2016.
  • Quality and patient-focused, with a commitment to putting patient safety first.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Reliable team player with high accountability for own work.
