Role Overview

Supporting the Community in Times of Need

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Auxiliary Firefighter to join our team in Roma. As a vital member of our emergency response unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, working collaboratively with our team to provide effective support and assistance.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses, ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities, and ensure the maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
  • Ability to commit to attending 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours, or 30% of calls as a shift worker or non-routine hours
