Strategic Financial Advisor for Public Health Systems

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team at Abacus Human Capital. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a respected and supportive public healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver high-quality financial advice, primarily around budgets, workforce planning, costing models, and on-costing strategies, for a Queensland State Government department managing the state's public health system.
- To utilize strong financial analysis skills, particularly in budgeting, FTE management, and costing, to drive business outcomes.
- To demonstrate knowledge of public sector accounting principles and practices, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, communicating complex financial information with clarity and conviction.
- To leverage advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise to drive strategic decision-making.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will have proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or similar role in a large organization.
- Will possess high proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Will be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior executives and non-financial professionals.
- Will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Will be familiar with public sector accounting principles and practices.
