Workshop Operations Manager Sought
The ideal candidate will oversee the workshop to ensure efficient and safe operations. This includes supervising trades and semi-skilled employees, guaranteeing tasks are completed on time, within allocated resources, and meeting required quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance: Ensure work performed meets quality, productivity, and efficiency requirements.
- Scheduling: Coordinate technicians working on equipment to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to Senior Management on job status and scheduling progress.
- Cost Control: Monitor costs associated with jobs and report any discrepancies as necessary.
- Safety Management: Enforce adherence to safety policies and procedures through ongoing communication and training.
- Training and Development: Deliver structured training to workshop staff on product range and operation.
- Inventory Management: Ensure inventory and tooling are available for timely delivery of repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Talent Development: Collaborate with Senior Management to identify training needs and develop skills.
Additional Duties:
- Job Completion: Record labor, parts, and other charged items on job card for invoicing purposes.
- Timekeeping: Complete daily time cards accurately and on schedule.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with workshop employment and recruitment processes.
- Team Building: Foster a harmonious environment and train apprentices and other team members.
- Maintenance and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
- Equipment Security: Ensure equipment and tools are secure and used correctly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and achieve set objectives.
- Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in a similar industry and relevant knowledge.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
