Event Program Manager

The Senior Events Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality programs for Council festivals and events.
This role involves collaborating with artists, community groups, and contractors to create engaging artistic and cultural content, fostering stakeholder relationships, and promoting community access and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver event programming that meets the requirements of the Hume City Council Events and Festivals Strategy.
- Collaborate with artists, community groups, and contractors to develop artistic and cultural content.
- Foster stakeholder relationships, promote community engagement, and ensure inclusive practices.
- Support logistics, contract management, and budgeting processes.
- Work closely with Coordinator Events and Festivals to design, deliver, evaluate, and review the Events Grants Program.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by providing accurate program information.
- Maintain event records and support continuous improvement of event planning systems.
- Degree or Diploma in Arts Management, Events Management, or related field; or substantial relevant experience with lesser formal qualifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local government operations and procedures is advantageous.
- Proven experience in planning, programming, and delivering events, arts, and cultural programs within a local government setting.
- Experience in developing artistic and community-focused programs within budget and schedule.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate activities while adhering to budgets, timelines, and objectives.
