About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopaedic Registrar to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. As a key member of our Orthopaedic Surgery Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our trauma and orthopaedic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to critically injured patients, working closely with our trauma team in the Emergency Department and during admission.
  • Assist in Trauma Governance Activities, including data analysis and case presentations.
  • Participate in outpatient clinics for fracture, burns, and rehabilitation cases.
  • Contribute to a roster providing overnight care for ward and ED patients with acute surgical issues.
  • Participate in research projects in paediatric or adolescent trauma.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in acute surgical care, including trauma.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an intern/resident medical officer/registrar in a recognised teaching hospital.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills at an organisational and individual level.
  • A demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
