Senior Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

Are you an experienced occupational therapist looking to take the next step in your career as a senior clinician?

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic occupational therapy department and provide clinical governance, leadership, and expertise within the Post Acute Adult Team.

  • Provide evidence-based, innovative solutions to support vascular and amputee patients' journey through a busy tertiary acute hospital.
  • Work closely with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.

As a senior occupational therapist, you will be responsible for using your advanced clinical skills and experience in occupational therapy services within medical and/or surgical caseloads, including amputee patients in acute/subacute settings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective discharge planning strategies, including NDIS and ENABLE initiatives.
  • Providing clinical supervision, mentoring of staff, and students to promote professional development and growth.
  • Staying up-to-date with research and quality activities to inform practice and contribute to continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised degree in occupational therapy, registration with AHPRA, and extensive experience in complex discharge planning and clinical supervision.
