Registered Nurse Mental Health Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to support our overnight shifts for our General Psychology Unit. As a key member of the nursing team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

About the Role:
  • Provide person-centred care to patients with mental health needs, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and carers, promoting open communication and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum two years' post-graduate experience in a mental health setting.
  • Recent experience working in an acute mental health unit or similar environment.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in mental health highly regarded.
  • Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
