We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Support Specialist.

About the Role

This part-time Support Specialist position involves working with Aboriginal families and children aged 2-6, focusing on early childhood development, care, education, and school readiness. The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to families, advocating on their behalf and promoting cultural understanding and connection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to Aboriginal families to help them give their children a good start in life.
  • Advocate for the rights and interests of Aboriginal young people and their families, providing cultural support and services.
  • BUILD strong relationships with local agencies to strengthen families and promote cultural connections.

The role requires knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, societies, and cultures in NSW. The successful candidate will be willing to advocate for and support Aboriginal children, young people, and families. Travel is an expectation of this role.

  • An updated resume including details of at least two recent work-related referees.
  • Working with Children Check, Police History Check, CPR/First Aid Certificate, and current Driver's Licence.
