Seeking General Practitioners

The role of a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) is available at a hospital in Gunnedah District.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Participating in education and research activities to contribute to the development of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Providing specialist services that are safe, effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered.
  • Admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as required by HNELHD.
  • Having a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of RACGP/ACRRM/RACP and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
  • Having recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice, strong communication skills, teamwork, management ability, professionalism, and advocacy.
