Electrical Technician Job Description

The role of Electrical Technician is a critical position within our Energy Services department. Our team operates as the centralized hub for power generation from our boiler and turbine plant, providing essential services to our manufacturing facilities across Port Kembla.

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for delivering key outcomes in maintaining and developing our energy equipment. Your technical background and experience will be instrumental in implementing and improving our maintenance strategies to achieve optimum equipment performance and reduction in failures.

You will follow safe systems of work, develop isolation instructions, and conduct job safety analyses to ensure the safe execution of tasks. Additionally, you will provide assessments and follow-ups on equipment issues impacting plant performance, perform equipment inspections, and identify improvement opportunities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization while working in a supportive environment that prioritizes safety, quality, and reliability. You will work alongside a cross-discipline team to deliver efficient and effective emergency repairs, fault-find electrical equipment, and contribute to site management of contractors and maintenance service providers.
