We are seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for carrying out maintenance duties across various properties, including repairs, painting, equipment servicing and general handyman duties. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

This position involves regular site visits, overnight stays, and occasional overtime and after-hours work. The successful candidate will be required to provide advice on future maintenance requirements and manage contractors as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out works such as high pressure cleaning, gutter cleaning, replacing light bulbs, gardening and tap washer replacements;
  • Regular site visits to each property;
  • Providing advice to the Property Team on future maintenance requirements;
  • Managing contractors performing maintenance on our properties;
  • Contributing to property-specific strategic planning and team operational planning, policy and procedure development, compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements, managing work systems and ensuring effective team functioning;
  • Undertaking all administrative work associated with regulatory compliance and other property work.
Requirements

  • A current driver's license;
  • Relevant demonstrated experience in an associated trade or general maintenance works;
  • Experience in the operational side of property management;
  • Experience working with a diverse range of people, specifically those with a disability;
  • Demonstrated competence in programmed, reactive and preventative maintenance.
