SA Health is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Physician to join our team at Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Service.

The Emergency Department is a busy and rewarding environment that provides high-quality care for a variety of presentations, including major multi-trauma, paediatric, and life-threatening medical emergencies.

About the Role:

  • Provide specialist level care to patients
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team across all aspects of Emergency Care
  • Provide clinical supervision to Senior Medical Practitioners, Trainee Medical Officers, and Medical Students
  • Contribute to an after-hours on-call service in accordance with a roster agreed by the Department Director
  • Oversee the smooth functioning of the clinical area when on shift

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Appropriate Specialist Qualifications
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
  • Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff
  • Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in an Emergency Department
