About the Role:

As a Senior Front-End Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining key features, including MyAccount, Mobile App, Metering, and Customer Identity systems.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams (UX/UI designers and developers) to create customer-centric solutions while enhancing the Origin Design Systems (ODS) and React component library, setting front-end excellence standards.

  • Software analysis, design, and development
  • Collaboration with UX/UI designers and front-end developers to maintain and extend our Origin Design System (ODS) & React component library.
  • Quality assurance through test automation and test-driven development
  • CI/CD: Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment through automation of builds and deployment scripts
  • Participation in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, grooming, kick-off, walkthrough, showcases & retrospectives)
  • Thought leadership on tools, processes, technologies through active involvement in Guilds Configure and managing test environments & test data
  • Mentoring and coaching of other team members
What will you bring?
  • Demonstrated experience with React, Material-UI, CSS-in-JS (Styled Components), modern CSS, semantic HTML & associated frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in front-end development, user interface design, accessibility, mobile-first responsive & front-end best practices
  • Experience working to WCAG accessibility standards
  • Demonstrated experience in automating UI & API testing
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience with applications deployed on AWS
  • Experience with Git version control tool & GitHub
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the Agile software development methodology, lean & exposure to HCD
