Commercial Lawyer
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our litigation and advisory practice, you will work closely with highly respected partners in competition and consumer law, regulatory investigations, commercial litigation, and large-scale disputes.
You will be involved in high-profile matters related to the Corporations Act, Competition and Consumer Act, Australian Consumer Law, and complex commercial and shareholder disputes. Your role will involve working on diverse cases, including regulatory litigation, commissions of inquiry, white-collar crime, and class actions, with exposure to key clients such as ASIC and the ACCC.
The Role- Work closely with senior lawyers and partners in the preparation and conduct of major commercial disputes.
- Develop and implement strategic advice for clients in relation to their corporate governance and compliance obligations.
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis, and prepare written submissions and reports for clients and management.
- Post-admission experience in a reputable disputes practice (1-6 years)
- Strong academic background in law
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
