Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • Resolve discrepancies and negotiate payment plans with customers
  • Process credit requests and maintain accurate records
  • Manage the accounts receivable mailbox and process credit card payments
  • Prepare and distribute account reconciliations as required
  • Respond to customer queries promptly and courteously
  • Process customer credits and claims in Oracle JD Edwards
  • Upload payments daily and complete allocations on assigned ledgers
  • Maintain customer records and ensure all customer details are current
  • Resolve claims and keep account managers and key stakeholders informed
  • Manage the claims maintenance tool and communicate with customers

Requirements:

  • Accounting certificate or diploma
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience with JDE or SAP systems
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload
