About the Role

This is a subacute role based at Caulfield hospital, initially commencing in Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Home-Based services. The successful candidate will contribute to an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient care, providing high-quality assessment and management of clients across the Inpatient ABI Rehabilitation unit and the Home-Based program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality assessment and management of clients across the Inpatient ABI Rehabilitation unit and the Home-Based program.
  • Contribute to an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient care.
  • Provide supervision to OT staff and students, and contribute to quality improvement and research activities within the Occupational Therapy Service.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years clinical experience in occupational therapy.
  • Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and eligibility for OTA membership.
  • Clinical experience and knowledge of client-centred, occupation-based practice for clients with acquired brain injury.
  • Demonstrated skills in both cognitive and physical assessment and intervention.
  • Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality rehabilitation.
