About This Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage our aircraft maintenance team. As a Manager, Aircraft Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of skilled professionals.

The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and in-depth knowledge of CASA airworthiness requirements.

You will also be responsible for ensuring all team members comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and approved maintenance data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of skilled Aircraft Maintenance professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with all relevant regulatory bodies involved in the certification of aircraft and parts.
  • Foster strategic relationships with industry partners that align with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure all team members comply with SOPs and approved maintenance data.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage resources and facilities efficiently.
  • Act as a liaison with CASA, VA Regulatory Services, and VA Airline Publications.
  • Fulfill CASA Part 145 Responsible Manager duties for your region.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Formal qualifications in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Cert IV or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of CASA airworthiness requirements.
  • Proven experience in airworthiness and engineering operations within the aviation industry.
  • A strong track record of leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • A Level 2 APAM driver's license.
