The Department of Health is seeking a senior allied health professional to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioner who will contribute to the ongoing development of the program area and related change management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service delivery to children and young people, their families/significant other, is in accordance with evidenced-based practice, person-centred, trauma-informed, and meets the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, Legislative requirements, Agency Policy, and relevant professional competencies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a model of care that aligns with the needs of young people and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed biopsychosocial mental health assessments and therapies.
- Contribute to the development of new youth mental health services in Tasmania, working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists.
- Postgraduate qualifications in an allied health discipline or a related field.
- Experience in clinical leadership, complex case management, assessment, counselling, and/or therapy, particularly within mental health or relevant/related sectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Relocation package available.
- Travel assistance support up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
