Landscaping Assistant Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Landscaping Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

This role involves assisting our experienced landscapers with various tasks, from planting and mulching to lawn and garden maintenance. You will be required to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools, as well as assist with the installation of hardscaping elements such as paving, concreting, and retaining walls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planting, mulching, and lawn & general garden maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
  • Install hardscaping elements, such as paving, concreting, and retaining walls.
  • Design and layout garden beds and outdoor spaces.
  • Inspect and maintain landscaping features.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
