Job Opportunity

This role involves leading the religious education program in a primary school setting, promoting Catholic identity and mission. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to build relationships with staff, students, and the broader community.

About the Position

The Religious Education Coordinator will work closely with the principal and parish priest to develop and implement a curriculum that is grounded in Catholic values and promotes faith formation among students. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the religious education curriculum across K-6 classes
  • Leading professional learning for teachers in religious education
  • Fostering connections between the school and the parish community
  • Providing pastoral care and support to students and staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A four-year trained teacher classification with at least four years of successful teaching experience
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • A Working with Children Clearance number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • AWTL appropriate to your current position
