The Prosecuting Solicitor Pool will be responsible for operating a temporary prosecution service. The recommended applicants will be eligible for future opportunities within the Prosecution Services Branch. Positions are available in various metropolitan and regional locations across the state.

Job Description:
  • The Solicitor is accountable to the Supervising Senior Prosecutor for the provision of prosecution services including case management and court representation. The Solicitor is expected to conduct complex cases under limited supervision and direction from the Supervising Senior Prosecutor.

The Solicitor is expected to adhere to the ethical standards of the legal profession.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To work collaboratively with other teams to achieve prosecution goals.
  • To represent the prosecution in court proceedings.
  • To manage and progress complex prosecution files.
Requirements:

A degree in law and eligibility to be admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia with a practicing certificate.
