About the Role

Hedland Senior High School is seeking a Career Practitioner to support the career development of students. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the school leadership team to embed career development and work exposure activities into curricular and co-curricular programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage student aspirations and connect them to life opportunities
  • Implement programs and activities to support career development
  • Work with local industry partners to provide career guest speakers and resources
  • Provide resources to embed career development across learning areas
Requirements
  • High level of knowledge about the diversity of career pathways
  • Understanding of school contexts in relation to local employers, community agencies, and training providers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with students, staff, parents, training providers, employers, and industry
  • Competent in the interpretation and analysis of system and school-based data
