About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our team in Fremantle. This is a full-time opportunity with a continuing contract.

This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the University's strategic and financial decision-making by developing robust financial models and conducting thorough data analysis.

The role operates with considerable autonomy and broad direction, contributing valuable insights that inform key stakeholder decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing financial models and conducting analysis to support informed decision-making by key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial modelling for business case feasibility studies, including discounted cash flow analysis, net present value and internal rate of return calculations.
  • Create and deliver presentations and data visualisation dashboards to enhance stakeholder understanding of financial insights.
  • Maintain clear and transferable model documentation for use across the University.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and management personnel.
  • Support cross-functional projects and ad hoc modelling tasks as directed, while complying with university policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone with postgraduate qualifications, CA/CPA (or equivalent) accreditation, combined with extensive relevant experience.

A strong background in financial reporting using complex accounting systems and large datasets, with proficiency in analytical and reporting tools is essential.

Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic decision-making is also required.

Proven ability to create impactful data visualisations tailored to diverse audiences is necessary.

Excellent problem-solving and conceptual skills, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex business challenges are also desired.
