Job Overview

The position entails implementing mental health initiatives in a secondary school setting. This involves delivering training and awareness programs for staff and students on key mental health topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement professional development programs within an educational environment, including coaching other professionals.
  • Provide expert guidance and professional learning to colleagues, including teachers and other wellbeing staff, to enhance the capacity of schools to improve student outcomes.
  • Design and implement evidence-based intervention strategies for students with complex needs, collaborating with families, other professionals, and agencies when necessary to effectively manage risk.
  • Collaborate with the school to enhance mental health initiatives, contributing to whole-school health and wellbeing plans and building the capability of teaching staff and leadership to address matters relating to student mental health and wellbeing.
