Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Infrastructure Project Lead to spearhead our estimating efforts in major projects.

In this pivotal role, you will drive the accuracy, competitiveness, and risk management of our bids, partnering with Operations, Finance, and Executive leadership to shape bid strategy and lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Lead estimating activities for all civil infrastructure projects;
  • Deliver precise, competitive, and risk-assessed cost estimates;
  • Mentor and develop your team, fostering career pathways and technical excellence;
  • Benchmark costs, monitor industry trends, and strengthen supply chain relationships;
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to devise winning bid strategies;
  • Represent estimating at pre-bid meetings, client presentations, and negotiations.

Requirements

This role demands:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent;
  • 10–15+ years' experience in civil infrastructure estimating;
  • Proven expertise in first-principles estimating and cost modelling;
  • Strong networks in subcontractor/supplier markets across QLD & NSW;
  • Commercial acumen, with ability to balance competitiveness and value;
  • Leadership experience managing estimating teams within a contractor environment;
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications

We welcome candidates with:

  • Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors;
  • Proficiency with Expert Estimator (and ideally P6);
  • Postgraduate or professional chartership (AIQS, RPEQ, CPEng).
