Primary Medical Care Professional

We are seeking a Primary Medical Care Professional to join our team, delivering high-quality medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team working towards the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members. Key responsibilities include assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty, providing care that supports their health and wellbeing pre and post deployments, and providing medical technical advice to senior officers.

Key Requirements:
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent)
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
