Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Participation Lead in Cairns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing participation through the delivery of core programs in the region.

This position is ideal for a driven individual with leadership experience and a proven ability to train and mentor staff.

Key responsibilities include delivering NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick programs in community football clubs and schools, as well as implementing growth, transition, and retention strategies from these programs into junior club football.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick programs in community football clubs and schools
  • Implement growth, transition, and retention strategies from NAB AFL Auskick and Superkickschool programs into junior club football
  • Support Regional Lead – North Queensland with the participation strategy including deployment, staffing, and regional execution
  • Mentor and support AFL Cairns Participation Coordinators
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous leadership experience and proven ability to train and mentor staff
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Fun and enthusiastic nature with a passion for working with children
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement
