Job Overview

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team in Morphett Vale.

About the Role

This permanent part-time position offers guaranteed hours close to home, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.

You will be responsible for providing domestic assistance, helping with meal preparation and shopping, providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities, and personal care including getting customers up, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals, providing respite and emotional support, and social support and transport to appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Domestic Assistance: Assist customers in cleaning their homes to create a safe and beautiful living space.
  • Help customers with meal preparation and shopping to ensure they have access to nutritious food.
  • Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities to help customers stay engaged and active.
  • Personal Care: Get customers up, showered and dressed for the day, manage medications, assist with mobility and therapy goals, provide respite and emotional support, and offer social support and transport to appointments.

Requirements
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • The ability to work independently, find solutions to everyday problems, and know when to ask for help.
