Geotechnical Career Opportunities

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our geotechnical team as a Graduate Engineering Geologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing, sampling, and interpretation of soil and rock materials to produce accurate geotechnical assessments and reports.
  • Work closely with the Geotechnical Manager and Technical Manager to schedule daily/weekly work requirements and coordinate team efforts.
  • Undertake data management including logs, gINT, and Jira management.
  • Assist with digital data capture and processing as directed.
  • Perform engineering test pits using hand augers, backhoes, and excavators.
  • Supervise drilling operations using 4wd and truck-mounted drilling rigs.
  • Log and sample soil material accurately.
  • Conduct in-situ geotechnical testing such as dynamic cone penetrometer testing, hand shear vane testing, pocket penetrometer testing, and plate load tests.
  • Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports for review by the Geotechnical Manager and submission to clients.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

A Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology is essential. Additionally, a great attitude, ability to learn, and work effectively in a team environment are crucial. The selected candidate must also be able to pass a 'fit to work' medical examination and regular drug and alcohol screening.
