About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at UGL Pty Limited. The successful candidate will play a vital part in the upstream commercial relationship with our client, working closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, ensuring responsibilities and obligations are met, and our rights are protected.
  • Negotiate subcontract and supplier contract terms, conditions, and pricing, ensuring timely execution.
  • Lead scope of works planning, minimising gaps, maximising cost efficiencies, and considering subcontractor capabilities.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and awareness of market conditions.
  • Provide clear advice on contractual rights and obligations to project teams.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within Infrastructure/Construction.
  • Tertiary education in Engineering, Commerce, Business, Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to manage contracts.
  • Advanced negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
