  • Assistant Curator Grade 2 position
  • Full-time temporary employment up to 18 months
  • Work across multiple locations in Sydney

Museums of History NSW brings together iconic museums, rich collections, and heritage sites. We share the stories of our places and collections through the State Archives Collection, supporting government transparency and access to information.

Your Role:

This position provides curatorial research services to contribute to the interpretation, documentation, promotion, and development of collections. You will work on research-based projects to create engaging content that meets the objectives of our strategic and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research and write reports on collections and projects
  2. Develop and evaluate innovative interpretation projects
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project outcomes
  4. Travel to multiple locations across Sydney

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in history/museums studies/heritage interpretation or related field
  • Experience working in a cultural, museums, or heritage environment
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency (for ongoing roles)
