Mine Planner

Deliver mine schedules that balance safety, efficiency, and productivity by collaborating with various teams. As a Mine Scheduler, you will lead by example in maintaining a safe working environment and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

• Develop and maintain a rolling 28-day plan, transitioning to Deswik Ops for all short-term scheduling.
• Work closely with stakeholders to create accurate and comprehensive mine area plans, integrating scheduled activities into the mine schedule.
• Monitor and drive compliance with the week 0 schedule, focusing on critical path activities.
• Collaborate with mid-term planning and engineering teams to develop a comprehensive five-year plan.
• Investigate and document variances during the schedule escalation process.
• Identify and implement process improvements using operational excellence principles.

Mining Engineering qualifications or an aligned discipline with significant operational experience are essential. Previous experience with mine scheduling/mine planning in hard-rock underground mining operations is required.

The ideal candidate has mining experience across different execution disciplines, including mine production, development, rehabilitation, and mine services. Knowledge of sub-level open stoping extraction methods and understanding of ventilation systems and networks are also desirable.

• Ability to develop planning strategies, identify and escalate schedule threats, risks, and opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Deswik Suite, with advantages in PowerBi, SAP, production reporting databases, and platforms.
