Junior Business Analyst Job Description

The Junior Business Analyst plays a vital role in our team, working closely with clients to understand their business needs and systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop strong analytical skills, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to impactful transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with clients to comprehend their business requirements, systems, and operations.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Document business processes, functional requirements, use cases, and process flows in detail.
  • Translate business needs into feature specifications and user stories for product and engineering teams.
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Assist in product testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and rollout coordination activities.
  • Help validate data and outputs using SQL and support troubleshooting as needed.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and ML teams to ensure product alignment and quality.
  • Contribute to tender responses, proposals, and solution documentation efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1–2 years' experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably in an IT consulting or corporate services environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact with users, team leads, and developers confidently.
  • BASIC SQL SKILLS FOR QUERYING DATA AND SUPPORTING ANALYSIS TASKS are essential.
  • Familiarity with documenting requirements, use cases, and assisting with testing and UAT is highly desirable.
  • Experience with enterprise systems like SAP, TechnologyOne, or Microsoft Dynamics is a valuable asset.
