We are seeking a skilled Insurance Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of the Commercial, Personal and Financial Service Teams, you will be responsible for generating and securing new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying high-quality leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and qualify potential new business opportunities across commercial and personal insurance, as well as financial services.
- Develop strong working relationships with local businesses, community groups, and stakeholders to create long-term lead opportunities and generate referrals.
- Arrange appointments for new business opportunities to be followed up by the Commercial sales team.
- Accurately record and monitor lead activity within internal CRM systems, ensuring all interactions are logged and followed up in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or refer clients to other areas of the business, including insurance, financial services, risk management, and health & safety consultancy, passing qualified leads to the relevant specialists.
- Operate in a fully compliant, customer-focused manner, adhering to FCA principles and the organisation's internal policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Understanding of general Insurance and/or Financial Services Industries.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Confidence in approaching and speaking with new people.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive mindset.
- Experience with CRM systems or lead-tracking tools.
- Strong attention to detail in logging and qualifying leads.
