OSHC Coordinator Role

This position requires an individual to provide high-quality care and education for children at a primary school in Melbourne.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the OSHC service, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Create engaging daily activities that cater to the needs of children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Supervise and support children during before and after school care hours, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
  • Prepare and serve healthy food options for children, adhering to dietary requirements and restrictions.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues, children, families, school leaders, and the community, fostering a collaborative environment.

Necessary Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Children's Services or equivalent qualification.
  • CURRENT Employee Working with Children's Checks (willing to obtain).
  • HLTAID012 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training certification.
  • Child Protection (CHCPRT001 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk) knowledge.
